The 2023 Plastic Free Festival

In July 2023 we held our 3rd annual Plastic Free Festival on The Mallow at Sideshore. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate all the brilliant businesses in Exmouth and the surrounding area who have our Planet at the core of their ethos. Many of the businesses who were in attendance are Plastic Free Business Champions. In addition to this we use it as an opportunity to celebrate other local Community Groups such as Transition Exmouth and the Organ Donor campaign. Many of these are registered Community Allies.

In July we had over 30 stalls plus entertainment from local musicians, bands and theatre groups. We held workshops throughout the day to educate our young people about the dangers of plastic pollution. We created art work from the finds from that Sunday morning’s beach clean.

In July 2024 we will join forces with Sideshore and Exmouth Town Council to hold an Earth Day Festival at Sideshore to continue to celebrate the hard work of all of these local people, and to further promote our message as a Plastic Free Community.
